I recently attended a training with my mentor, Todd Herman, and he introduced this concept called “Pillow Happy,” which I just had to share with you. It’s all about doing the things during the day that will guarantee you are in a blissful state of happiness and contentment when your head hits the pillow at night. And I am not just talking about the woo-woo things like being grateful, meditating, drinking water, etc. (I think you need that, but that is not what I am talking about.) I am talking about the hard things. You know the things you want to do but don’t feel like doing. Because otherwise, you won’t have a good night. No Pillow Happy for you.
And you know what robs you of Pillow Happy?
- Unchecked money problems
- Ignored money problems
Because when it is late at night. And the house is dark and silent; fears, worries, and doubts start to creep into our minds.
You and I both know the drill. Questions start swirling in our heads, like:
- How on earth am I going to pay off my IRS debt?
- Seriously, how did my debt get so big?
- What if my spouse finds out? Could it lead to a divorce?
- And what about my clients? Will they start doubting my abilities and think I’m a fraud?
And on and on and on.
But do you know what is the simple cure for that?
Are you ready for the answer?
Take Action – do the thing that you want to do but don’t feel like doing.
Yes, that simple! I didn’t say it was easy. I just said simple.
And also, notice I didn’t say take massive action; I just said take action.
And that can be something as simple as:
- Open that unopened IRS letter. Facing the situation head-on will immediately lift some weight off your shoulders.
- Find out the exact amount you owe. Having a clear understanding of your money obligations will help you make informed decisions moving forward.
- Hey, if you’re up for it, why not book a meeting with me? We can talk about how you can conquer your tax debt once and for all.
So, my wish for you today is for you to experience a truly Pillow Happy night. So, I urge you to take that first step, no matter how small it may seem. Trust me; it can make all the difference in the world.
Wishing you clarity (and a good night’s sleep),
Claudia
